What is Elder Law?

Jul 14, 2017 | FAQs

What is Elder Law?
Elder Law is a highly specialized area of law involving legal issues that predominantly affect seniors, the disabled, their loved ones and caregivers. This field encompasses numerous areas of law, including Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts, Guardianship issues, asset protection, and elder abuse. Elder law also includes issues related to Medicare and Medicaid benefits, Social Security, other retirement plans, and planning for Long-Term Care needs. No single Elder Law Attorney practices in all of these subareas.
Elder Law Attorneys are advocates for seniors, people with disabilities, and their loved ones. They protect and assist vulnerable segments of our population.
